Privacy policy
EveryKid Charitable Trust Manatōpū ("EveryKid", "we") respects your privacy and the privacy of the tamariki and rangatahi we support. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why, and how we look after it, in line with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

What we collect
- Contact form: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and your message.
- Referrals: the referrer's name, role, organisation, email and phone; and the young person's first name, age, town or suburb, the activity, the club or provider, what they need and any notes. We ask for a first name only and ask referrers not to include sensitive details.
- Donations: your name, email address and donation amount. Card payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
Why we collect it
- To reply to enquiries and offers of help.
- To assess referrals and arrange support with the club, school or provider involved.
- To process donations and send tax receipts, which Inland Revenue requires to include your name.
- To meet our legal and reporting obligations as a registered charity.
We don't sell or rent personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.
Who we share it with
- The club, school or provider involved in a referral, only as needed to arrange support.
- Service providers that run our website and systems on our behalf: Cloudflare (website hosting and spam protection), Stripe (payments), Resend (sending website emails) and Google Workspace (our email). Some of these providers store information outside New Zealand.
- Government agencies where the law requires it, such as Inland Revenue or Charities Services.
How long we keep it
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected. Donation records are kept for at least seven years, as required by New Zealand tax law. Referral information is kept while we are supporting the young person and for a reasonable period afterwards for our records.
Cookies and analytics
Our website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which counts visits without cookies or personal profiles, and Cloudflare Turnstile to stop spam on our forms.
Your rights
You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it. To do this, or if you have a privacy concern, email our privacy officer at admin@everykid.org.nz or write to PO Box 145, Helensville 0840.
If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner.
